Just back from a short trip of trekking, i am going to share some of the websites that were a part of the discussion that we had while trekking apart from all the adventurous talks!.

2. Book reviews - When we were discussing about the books that would help amateur people who would want to take the road less traveled, there is one website that would offer helpful book reviews to help us in selecting the right book!.
3. Marketing advice - Some of the people who came trekking with us were into internet marketing. I was puzzled about what it was. They then explained the whole idea of it and even suggested a website that offers online marketing advice so that wannabe youngsters or entrepreneurs can take it up more seriously.
4. Some Jokes on laws - With more information and advice on the internet, there are places which offer jokes from all over the world too! There is this website on dumb laws which gave us a great time talking about. Worth visiting and having a good laugh!

My Expedition book

Today I happened to set my eyes upon my little expedition book. I was reminded of the day I bought the ‘expedition book’. I found it on the custom notebooks section of a store I had visited in my first expedition. It was quite an experience. I hadn’t planned well and was stranded for quite a few hours before I managed to get my way around the new town. It was during that day I got this book and decided I would keep note of the various expeditions I go in the future. Thus far I have managed to keep the tradition alive.

A researcher's best friend

Today has been a really tough day. Though being the start of the week end I had work. My work involves performing research works and providing useful interpretation of the research work for my clients. The initial stages of research involves going through prior research activities. All my fellow researchers would know that most research documents are in portable document format. The internet comes as a very handy tool when we need to search preview and download pdf documents. The internet is undoubtedly a researcher’s best friend.

Internet - In its early days

Today we take a break from the world of adventurous expeditions into the world of technology. In the last few years internet has really caught on like wild fire. I am no techno freak, yet I wasn’t spared by the long hands of the internet. I certainly have the internet to thank for starting this blog and writing all these posts and being able to share all my adventures to the world. Interestingly today I recalled the first time I used internet. The initial days I could afford only a dialup connection, with speeds ranging from 1 to 2 kilo bytes per second! It was during those times that I created my first ‘electronic mail’ account.
My first email host was Yahoo. Those days I used to check my mail even though I had no one sending me anything. Yet it was quite an experience and there was always an excitement as I signed into Yahoo mail to check my e-mail. I am sure each one of us would have gone through this experience in the initial days of the internet. Years have passed and yet the internet has never failed to provide us the excitement and entertainment every time we use it.

Adventure sports and expeditions always have an element of risk involved in them. It is of utmost importance to ensure that sufficient safety measures are taken prior to starting any expedition. Experience is the best tutor when it comes to deciding on safety measures in an adventurous expedition. In the next few posts I would give you some very basic safety measures which need to be considered prior to starting any expedition. The eyes are the most critical part of the body which needs utmost protection. While nature is our best friend it can also be very dangerous.
The human eyes are the most delicate part of our body. This is also the most complex part which is quite sensitive to the outside environment. Eye glasses can be a very simple yet effective tool to protect the very critical part of our body. This essentially needs to be the first item in our safety list. Essentially eye glasses help in providing protection against dust. The dust particles can cause infection in our eyes which would be pretty annoying especially at the time of an adventurous expedition. Over the next few post I would cover few other important aspect with regard to safety.
